The development of sustainable local ecotourism based on environmental education with a focus on mangrove planting in Karya Tani Village, Labuhan Maringgai District, East Lampung Regency, is an effort to integrate environmental conservation with community economic improvement. This program aims to rehabilitate damaged mangrove ecosystems, raise environmental awareness among the community, and develop sustainable ecotourism potential. The methods used include participatory approaches, environmental education, mangrove planting, and the development of ecotourism-supporting infrastructure. The expected outcomes are the creation of an environmentally friendly ecotourism destination, improved economic welfare for the community, and long-term benefits for the environment. This article discusses strategies, challenges, and opportunities in the development of mangrove conservation-based ecotourism, as well as recommendations for program sustainability.
