Pemberdayaan Masyarakat Pesisir melalui Pengolahan Daun Mangrove menjadi Teh Herbal Berbasis Pendekatan ABCD di Desa Karya Makmur

Mangrove forests play a crucial ecological role in maintaining coastal ecosystem balance. However, the economic utilization of mangroves remains limited, particularly in Karya Makmur Village, Labuhan Maringgai District, where the community primarily relies on fisheries and agriculture, sectors vulnerable to environmental and economic changes. The main issue faced is the underutilization of mangrove resources to improve community welfare. Therefore, this study aims to empower the community using the Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD) approach, which focuses on leveraging local assets to create new economic opportunities. The proposed solution is the processing of mangrove leaves into herbal tea, which is rich in antioxidants and offers health benefits. The methods employed include a survey of local potential, training in herbal tea production, the development of community-based marketing strategies, and an evaluation of the economic impact on the community. The findings indicate that after mentoring, the community was able to produce herbal tea independently, enhance their skills in processing and packaging, and develop a deeper understanding of mangrove conservation. Furthermore, this mangrove-based herbal tea business has proven to provide a sustainable alternative economic opportunity for coastal communities.
